Introduction

Gary Cox (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use Budget Boost (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to this policy.

What Budget Boost Does With Your Data

Budget Boost is a personal monthly budget planner. Information you enter—such as income amounts, expense amounts, and category labels—is stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard on-device storage.

We do not operate user accounts, and we do not upload your budget data to our servers.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or share:

  • Your name, email, or contact details (unless you choose to email a budget export yourself)

  • Usage analytics or behavioral profiles

  • Location data

  • Advertising identifiers for targeted ads

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Data on Your Device

The App may store information locally on your device, such as:

  • Income and expense amounts

  • Expense category labels

  • App preferences (for example, notification and Face ID / Touch ID settings)

  • Premium unlock status (as confirmed by Apple)

We do not operate servers that store your personal budget data, and we do not have access to the amounts or labels you enter in the App.

Optional Features

Face ID / Touch ID: If you enable this in Settings, the App uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework only on your device to hide displayed amounts until you authenticate. Biometric data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

Notifications: If you enable monthly reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.

Export & Email: If you use Premium export features, your budget data is shared through Apple’s share sheet or Mail app under your control. We do not receive a copy of exported files or emails you send.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

The App may use Apple-managed services when you:

  • Make or restore an in-app purchase (StoreKit, handled by Apple)

  • Use Face ID / Touch ID (handled by Apple on your device)

  • Receive local notifications (handled by Apple on your device)

  • View our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use in an in-app browser

When you open our Privacy Policy or Terms link, you may load a web page hosted by our website provider. We do not use that page to track you or serve ads in the App.

Data Storage and Security

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Data you enter in the App is stored on your device. We rely on Apple’s security measures for on-device storage. We do not have access to or control over that data.

Data Retention and Deletion

We do not retain your personal data on our systems.

You can delete budget data in the App at any time using Reset to Default in Settings, or by uninstalling the App.

Your Rights and Choices

Because we do not collect your personal information, we do not maintain a separate file about you. You control App data through the App and your device settings.

EU/EEA (GDPR): We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not collect personal information from App users for our own databases.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App is not designed to collect personal information from anyone. If you believe we have received such information, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. For significant changes, we may also show a notice in the App. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
