Introduction

At Big Smash Games (“we,” “our,” or “us”), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our apps (the “Apps”), including Calculator: Ad Free, Budget Boost, Private Daily Mood Journal, Master Collection, and any other apps we publish under the Big Smash Games name. By using our Apps, you agree to this policy.

 

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or share your personal information (such as name, email, or contact details), usage data, or location data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Our Apps are designed so that your data stays on your device or in your own account (e.g. iCloud). We do not have access to that data.

 

Data on Your Device and in Your Account

Our Apps may store data locally on your device and, where you choose, in your iCloud account. That data is controlled by you and is subject to your device settings, your account settings, and Apple’s privacy policy. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. We do not receive, store, or process this data on our own systems.

 

Third-Party Services That May Receive Data

Some of our Apps use third-party services to provide certain features (such as product lookups, barcode lookups, or search). When you use those features, limited, non-personal data may be sent to these providers so we can return results to you.

  • What may be sent: Only the data needed for the feature—for example, barcode numbers (UPC/EAN), search terms you enter, or similar request data. We do not send your name, email address, or other personally identifiable information to these providers.

  • Who we use: Our Apps may use services such as OpenAI, TCGdex, UPC Database, and/or other lookup or search providers. Each provider has its own privacy policy and practices. We do not control how they collect, use, or store data they receive.

  • Why we use them: Solely to provide the feature (e.g. to identify a product or return search results). We do not use these services for advertising or cross-app tracking.

  • Your choice: You can use our Apps without using the features that rely on these services (e.g. you can add items manually instead of scanning or using search). Use of features that send data to third-party providers is at your option and constitutes your acknowledgment that such data may be sent to those providers in accordance with their privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these or any other third-party services. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies and terms.

 

Other Third-Party Services (No Data Sent to Us)

Our Apps do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple’s privacy policy and terms apply to that processing. We do not receive your payment details from Apple.

 

Data Storage and Security

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Data you enter in our Apps is stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your iCloud account. We rely on Apple’s security measures for data on your device and in iCloud (including encryption and secure storage). We do not have access to or control over that data.

 

Data Retention and Deletion

We do not retain your personal data on our systems. Data you enter in our Apps is stored on your device (and, if you choose, in your iCloud account). You can delete it at any time by deleting items in the App or by uninstalling the App. We cannot delete data held by third parties (e.g. Apple or providers used for lookup/search); their retention is governed by their own policies.

 

Your Rights and Choices

Because we do not collect your personal information, we do not maintain a separate file on you. You control data you enter in our Apps through your device and account settings (e.g. deleting the app or data, or managing iCloud). You can avoid sending data to third-party providers by not using features that rely on them (e.g. barcode or card search).

  • For EU/EEA residents (GDPR): We do not sell or share your personal information. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

  • For California residents (CCPA): We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request disclosure of data we collect; we do not collect personal information from users of our Apps.

 

International Data Transfers

When you use features that rely on third-party services (e.g. lookup or search), the data sent to those providers may be processed in the United States or other countries. Such transfers are governed by the relevant provider’s privacy policy. We do not transfer your personal information to our own servers because we do not collect or store it.

 

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) without parental consent. Our Apps do not collect personal information from anyone. If you believe we might have information from or about a child under 13, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

 

Previous Apps and Versions

Some past apps or older versions from Big Smash Games may have used ads or different data practices. All current versions of the Apps listed in this policy are ad-free (but not cross-promo) and do not collect, store, or share your personal information. For apps or versions no longer available, the privacy practices that applied at the time of use remain as described in the policy in effect then.

 

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date on this page and, for significant changes, we may display a notice in the App. Your continued use of our Apps after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
